Naked In The Dark

One of my greatest influences was, and still is, Salvador Dali; he exposed me to my interest in semiotic, which is the core of surrealism. In 2006, I made history with one of my films at the Academy. I was the very first student of Applied Art Schools in Egypt who made a short film based of cinema semiotic (defined as -depending on symbols and dream language). The film I am known for is called: Naked In The Dark. This particular film depicts the pain of the soul and its’ relevance to the pain of the human body. The pain of the human soul is always more damaging than any type of physical pain. The body can heal itself, but the soul cannot.
